The building
In 1882, Passeig de Gràcia had no queues and none of the facades that would make it famous. Number 15 was already here: tall windows, iron balconies, a door onto the widest pavement in the city. Then the avenue began to compete. Casa Amatller arrived. Casa Batlló answered. La Pedrera rose farther up the street. The crowds came last.
Outside, the avenue became a spectacle. Inside, there was still a door and a key.

PDG15
The train from the airport takes half an hour. You come up the stairs into Passeig de Gràcia. The building is number 15, black iron balconies, a door from 1882. Leave the bags. The city is on foot from here: the market, the cathedral, a glass of vermouth at eleven. Nobody hurries. You will learn not to.

Around 1900, the richest families on Passeig de Gràcia stopped being polite about architecture. The Lleó Moreras hired Domènech i Montaner. The Amatllers answered with Puig i Cadafalch. Then the Batllós brought in Gaudí. One block became an argument in stone: the Illa de la Discòrdia, the Block of Discord. It is still going on, 300 metres up the pavement. You can walk it before breakfast.

The space even bigger than it looks in the pictures. It was impeccably clean and check in was very smooth. The location couldn’t be better; incredibly close to public transit, shops and a grocery store. We had a wonderful stay.
The apartment was well kept and comfortable. You can tell it's been used, but none of the wear and tear affected our stay. It is located in the heart of a very busy neighborhood, but the noise from the streets was not overwhelming. The location was great for restaurants, shopping, and getting on the metro. Most importantly, the A/C worked very well during our hot summer stay!
Marcel was a great host, my family of four had a great stay! The location is perfect, very walkable to everything and next to the best shops and restaurants. The balcony was amazing to relax on while drinking our morning coffee. We would highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay and found the apartment to be well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. Location is excellent, amenities excellent, host communication excellent. No problems, exceeded our expectations. Would stay again.
Marcel's place is exactly as described, super convenient to everything. Marcel is an awesome host -on point for everything and allowed us to check in early. Really enjoyed our stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this luxury apartment in Barcelona. The place was very clean, comfortable, and close to everything, which made our trip very easy and enjoyable. Communication was excellent and very smooth throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Barcelona.
The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photos. Its spacious, nicely decorated, has great views of Pl Gracia and is located conveniently to everything in the neighborhood. We could not have asked for a better location or setup. Marcelo and his team are extremely communicative and responsive. They met us upon check-in to show us around and we available during the entire stay. We would definitely stay there again.
Our family of four loved our stay at Marcel’s apartment. Comfortable layout and great A/C!!! The location is in the middle of everything.
Beautiful, clean, and centrally located apartment. You can walk to just about anywhere you want to see in Barcelona. The air-conditioning works great. The beds are comfortable and the apartment was exactly as described. Felt very safe and well maintained. Would definitely recommend if you want to be central and be able to walk to just about anywhere. It is on a very busy street but the apartment itself was very quiet. Met my expectations for sure.
Marcel is an excellent host - really helpful and responsive. The apartment is in such a fantastic location. You can walk to lots of places and the metro is right outside which makes it really easy to get further afield (or if you don’t like walking!) Despite being really central, the apartment is quiet inside with a nice balcony to sit for a coffee. The apartment also has everything you need, is comfortable and spacious, and feels secure. Thanks to Marcel for a lovely stay. Very strongly recommend!
